Reducer socket to spigot
One end goes over a pipe, the other into an opening.
You choose the sizes and the angle, we print the part. That is how it goes from your first idea to the reducer in your hand.
A socket is the end the pipe goes into. A spigot is the end that goes into something else. An adapter can have two sockets, two spigots or one of each. That way it connects to what you already have.
One end goes over a pipe, the other into an opening.
A pipe slides into the part at both ends.
The part goes into a pipe or opening at both ends.
Two sizes at an angle, with straight connections.
A straight reducer connects two sizes in one line. A bend connects them at an angle, for example 30°, 45° or 90°, or any angle in between. The bend is always in the middle section, so both connections stay straight.
Think of drain and ventilation pipes, dust extraction on your saw or sander, and hobby and workshop projects where two sizes do not match. We only say an adapter is suitable for pressure, drinking water, gas or heat once we have tested that ourselves.
